Everybody knows the usual about Nevada: silver, miners, deserts, Vegas, and Harry Reid. But NV’s got a lot more cool stuff. For example:
Patriotic public art
A sense of humor
Some with a historical twist
A chunk from the world’s biggest piece of driftwood
And more public art. This is some crazy stuff by a guy named Fran Van Zant who built a monument to himself. Frank claimed to be 100% Cherokee and went by the name Chief Rolling Mountain Thunder and modestly named the monument after …. himself: Thunder Mountain Monument. It’s kinda cool, like other things in Nevada.
